Guess this isn’t happening anymore.
Oh well.
It would have been cool. Especially around this time, with everything going on.
Day 31
Date: 6-10-11
Awake: 7:13 am
Asleep: 1:15 am
Who I saw: regular old babysitting/grandparents crowd, AND a really old friend from a semi-dark period in my life. I saw him, but I didn’t let him see me. I was stealthy and avoided him.
Location: same ole same old.
What I wore: a new floral top I bought that I like a lot. oh, and other clothesy things.
Money spent: nope, just gas being used.
What I ate: grandaddy’s breakfast of champions, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, steak, baked potato, piece of cake
I feel really weak and tired still. The blood test results came back from the doctor, and nothing bad showed up, but I still feel awful all of the time and I don’t know why.
I had a really bad day babysitting the kids yesterday, but today was better.
Overall, I have had a good day if I don’t solely focus on myself. Which is a strange thing to say.
Day 23-30
Babysat.
I tried to give blood, but was too sick.
I went to the doctor.
I cut off all my hair.
I bought a lot of things at the mall, including some rad as hell shoes.
Our waiter at TGI Friday’s flirted with us all night then turned out to be 10 years older.
I saw the Hangover 2.
I love my friends.
I suck at blogging.
Hahaha. This blog is a fail.
I’ll try to get caught up/restart soon.
I’ve been feeling really shitty, and life doesn’t stop for an undefined illness, so I’ll be going to the doctor Wednesday, and afterwards, I’ll catch up on here. I’ve made some great memories this past week.
Day 22
(the return of order!)
Date: 6-1-11
Awake: 7:05 am
Asleep: hopefully 2:30
Who I saw: mom and grandparents
Location: gran’s house and walmart and the mexican restaurant
What I wore: a really cute skirt from goodwill that is black/navy with little yellow and brown flowers on it with a yellow shirt and some flipflops.
Money spent: nope.
What I ate: cereal, nerds, two tacos, strawberries and nutella. woah, i didn’t eat enough today.
Summary: I slept in super late, got ready to go to Walmart with my grandma, and then watched Food Network when she decided she couldn’t go yet. We finally went, returned home, went out to eat with my mother for my grandma’s impending birthday, and I came back here (grandparents’ house) to sit online for a long time and talk to a really dreamy guy.
Day 20
(still ignoring template. Sorrryyyy.)
Babysitting was pretty easy because the little one was nice and the big one was outside. After I got done, essentially nothing happened in my life. I stayed up way too late on the internet.
Oh, wait.
I went outside on the deck and sat there for four hours, reading. It was really nice to get fresh air.
Day 19
I wake up feeling like SHIT. Check my phone, make sure everything there is not embarrassing. Check the internet, same procedure. I slowly shower and get ready to go to my grandma’s. We hang out with a bunch of old people and I hated it.
I watch Bachelorette and Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition and love them both.
I start tumbling to avoid scholarship essays.
I post this and go do my essays because they’re due now.
I’m sorry these past entries are late, lacking detail, abandoning structure, and strange. Things will probably pick back up normally soon.
Day 18
Again, we’re forgetting the template because I’m in a rush to finish this weekend.
I wake up at my sister’s, watch a Richard Gere movie, and finally go back to my house, where I sit in my bed and stay on the internet for a while. I get in the shower, then get out to open the door to let Marsha in. Andrew shows up soon after that and we start hanging out in my room, talking. Andrew’s drinking, so I go get a little to drink too, because I know he doesn’t like to drink alone. Katlin shows up and we hang some more. My mother brings us a huge thing of chicken nuggets and Brett shows up, which was a lovely surprise. Things begin to get fuzzy. Hannah comes, which was nice. (I don’t really hang out with Katlin or Hannah but I do like them.) Things get fuzzier. I fall a lot. I do things I can’t tell you about. We go outside and I fall asleep in the driveway next to Andrew, who I assume was looking at stars. I wake up, they all leave, and I make a bad decision to get on tumblr and blog while drunk, though I didn’t say anything I particularly regret. I fall asleep.
Day 16 and 17
Screw the template. Let’s talk.
I wake up pretty early and begin to get ready for the day ahead, still not believing it’s real. I’m going to see Panic at the Disco. Marsha picks me up, we meet up with her dad, and get on the road. We stop at Denny’s and I eat some lovely bacon and other breakfast foods. The car ride is long from Milan to Atlanta. We listen to Lady Gaga’s new album, meow along to Panic songs, and sleep.
We get into Atlanta after grabbing some Wendy’s and Marsha and I get out to get in line at the venue while Mr. Larry parks.
The line is long. It wraps around the entire block and then some, but as we begin to move, it goes really fast. The Tabernacle (the venue) was absolutely gorgeous and so retro and just amazing. The perfect place. We get some pretty good places in the crowd, stage-right a good bit, because it’s closer that way. Zack Hall, Panic’s manager walks by us and we die of excitement. I go to the bathroom by myself and I’m surprised that I am alone in Atlanta and not frightened at all.
The first band comes on, Foxy Shazam, and we make fun of them out the ass. Go to our twitters and look at the tweets, because they’re golden. This is mine and Marsha’s. The lead singer of Foxy Shazam lights three cigarettes, smokes them, then eats them, lit end first. The next band comes out, Fun, and they’re not awful but not great. We move closer to the stage, albeit a bit further from the center. Still, a great spot.
Panic comes out and I almost start crying. They go through their set and I stand there, wondering if it is real life. They’ve been my favorite band for six years. I know the hometowns of the original members and their parents’ names and what religion they were raised in and their favorite kind of cookie and cartoon and what they’d be doing if they weren’t in the band (I’d be a land surveyor!). I honestly cannot tell you how incredibly life altering it is to open my eyes and see Brendon Boyd Urie and Spencer James Smith V in front of my without the filter of a television or computer screen. There were several times during the concert that I’d stop singing along or dancing and just stare at them in awe because it was finally happening. It was spectacular and they sound so damn incredible live. Brendon has this stage presence that just floors me. It was the best live show I’ve ever seen (though I may be exaggerating slightly because Mayday kills it live…)
We leave the concert, decide we want Sonic, and set it in the gps. Here’s where the real trouble starts. We end up hitting a curb and blowing out two tires. A carmel cop (as Marsha and I named him because he was a beautiful carmel man) came by to help us. Marsha’s father made phone calls while Marsha and I noticed how sketchy the area was. This happened at midnight. At two, after finally getting a tow truck to come around, we climb into the tow truck driver’s brother’s van (the truck cab couldn’t hold us all) and we head to the Kia dealership to drop off the car and to the hotel. The first hotel had no vacancies. When we get to the next hotel, we meet Ashley, the desk manager from heaven. She was the nicest lady. Marsha and I go upstairs, deposit our bags in Police Chief Baker’s room (that was a plaque on our door. confused us) and we headed to ihop where we met Jarron, our waiter from heaven. At this point, anyone who did not appear to be packing heat and could smile was sent from heaven. Jarron brings me some nutella crepes (i came. ohmygod they were sooooo good) and Marsha gets a waffle and a quesadilla. At this point, it’s around three a.m.
At four, we are finally in bed and falling asleep, still nervously chattering about how great the concert is and how long it will take the car to get fixed. We wake up, get a shuttle to the rental car place, finally get a car, and set out on the road feeling SO relieved. We stop in Marietta to eat breakfast/lunch at about 2 pm and it was delicious and Cody, our waiter, was not exactly sent from heaven but he was a nice man. then, we’re back on the road, laughing and making fun of people and things like we had been.
We make it into town, I go into my empty house, and I’m frightened. My sister calls and asks me to babysit, so I agree, thankful to get out of the house. It’s 11 pm, and I had been up until 4 the previous night. My nephews spray me with water guns until 1 am when they pass out, so I fall asleep on the couch for an hour before the baby wakes up and doesn’t stop crying for his mother for an hour. I get some sleep, thus ending the most eventful two days of my life.
